How the meal plans work

Cestavo offers ready-made weekly meal plans and shopping lists in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian. They're free and need no sign-up. If you click Save, your plan (the number of people and which dishes) is kept in your browser's local storage. It isn't sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.

Meal plans, recipes and shopping lists are general information. They aren't medical, nutritional or dietary advice. We don't check products for allergens. Always read the ingredient label and follow your doctor's or dietitian's advice.

How the price estimates work

Each ingredient shows an average price published by a third-party source, together with its area, month, unit and a link to the source: - Brazil: DIEESE, Pesquisa Nacional da Cesta Básica de Alimentos, São Paulo, September 2026. - Mexico: INEGI, Líneas de Pobreza por Ingresos, Table 5 (urban areas), September 2026. - United States (Spanish pages): U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Average Price Data, U.S. city average, September 2026. USDA's Cost of Food at Home (August 2026) appears only as a comparison figure, not as the price of the menu. - France: Insee, average monthly retail prices, metropolitan France, August 2026. - Italy: Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), Osservatorio prezzi, province of Rome, August 2026.

Partial estimates: if a source has no price for an ingredient, the page says so and lists that ingredient as unpriced. We show a total only when every ingredient is priced. Otherwise the page is labelled a partial estimate (for example "X of Y priced"), and we never show a made-up total. Any total or partial sum is our own calculation, not the source's.

Actual prices vary by store, brand and region and may have changed. These sources don't endorse Cestavo.

FAQ

Is Cestavo free? Yes. The service is free.

Do I need an account? No. There's no account and no sign-up, and we don't ask for your name or email to use the meal plans.

Does Cestavo use cookies? No. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or local storage. See the Privacy Policy.

Where is my saved plan? Only in your browser, and only after you click Save. To delete it, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Why doesn't my menu show a total? At least one ingredient has no published price from the source, so the page shows a partial estimate instead.

Why is the price different in my shop? The figures are published averages for an area and a month. Your shop, brand and region will differ.

Is a plan safe for my allergy or diet? We can't say. Plans aren't checked for allergens and aren't dietary advice.
